Medical Equipment and consumables within the EMS scope of practice
VEMA members pay any short fall with regards to medical and rescue equipment as well as Personal Protective Equipment out of pocket or out of generous donor funding from the community.
VEMA members also currently pay for their own petrol accounts. VEMA currently has 9 active medical members who use their personal vehicles to respond and have to often go off-road, or on dirt roads, when going into underprivileged communities. VEMA does not discriminate on cultural, religious or racial status, nor ability to pay for the service, since we do not charge the patient.
